This is a small group of birch trees in the parking lot of the high school where I work, trapped in the snow that has been piled around them all winter.

This is a page in my current sketchbook, the blue on the page was pre-painting done in liquid acrylic; drawing done in sharpie pen with watercolor added.

    Oh, I can relate! It was snowing again this afternoon. I'm home from my school job sick with a crappy cold and looking out at deep snow still everywhere!

    Well, where I am it actually *is* looking like spring is just a week or so away, but I really love your sketch, Suzanne! So very evocative, and with such graceful lines. Beautiful, even if it is a winter picture. 😉
